The Major of Barcelona wore one of his best suits. His wife, fancy green earrings. As every Thursday, the marriage were taking a stroll pleasantly in Ramblas street, and, behind them, there was an eccentric crazy man:
'I have always wanted to learn Greek!' - he shouted to a scared pigeon which flew away.
And who flew over the Cuckoo's nest?

10th post (Lecture Task)

He has been my loyal partner since we started going to primary school. He is tall, strong and he has blonde hair, big green eyes and a charming beard (that's why girls fall in love easily with him). But, first of all, he is my best friend. Rodrigo is nearly eighteen and he is cheerful, joyful, outgoing and a great person. As my best friend, we share common interests such as go fishing or playing tennis. I still remember when he looked after my dog and watered my mother plants while we were on holidays in Barcelona. Indeed, that was a big effort to him since he is not from my village, although I always feel that he is close to me.

I have been playing chess since I was six years old and I still remember when I played for the first time with my grand-mother in her house. Some people think that playing chess is a boring activity and a real waste of time, but they don't know what 'means' playing chess. People who never have played this game think that the figures are randomly moved on the chessboard and that is absolutely wrong. Even doctors have researched that this activity can help us to choose better options and decisions in hard situations of our life. You have the chance in this mental exercise to improve your mind thinking about your movements and about your opponent moves. Both players must hesitate if they want to win the challenge: It is a real braintraining. Besides, the pacific struggle with your rival makes the game fun and exciting, and playing chess becomes a source of amusement. That's why I always enjoy myself while I am playing chess. I know when I started to play this game, but I don't know when I will stop to play it.

Smoking is harmful to people. This former sentence has been proved by scientists a lot of times after uncountable researches, but we still smoke at bars, in the street, in parks and even in front of schools, while we are waiting for our children. And that's why young people start to smoke earlier, since they watch older people smoking one cigar, maybe two, or even until they empty their cigarettes box.

While the sun was coming up, my gin bottle fell down on the floor… it was broken, but it didn’t mind because it was already empty.

fear of empty gin bottles;

but fear of emptying gin bottles…

perhaps I should have chosen that morning to stop drinking.

Today I have heard the following piece of art on the local radio:


'beyond this place of wrath and tears
looms but the horror of the shade
and yet the menace of the years

This issue has really struck me. I have always thought that local radio was a piece of shit.

The retired grand-father had been doing jogging every morning at 8.00 a.m. since his lovely wife suddenly died after 41 years of marriage. But that cold Tuesday, this old man made the decision to change his itinerary: He got together with his wife once again, and this time, forever.
