22nd post (Lecture Task)

There are still some problems to solve in my new home, but one of them is that my flatmates and I are always arguing for who takes the control of the television. I really don't like watch the TV a lot, since I have more important things to carry out, but I like watching it while I'm eating or having dinner (the news, sports programmes or a little bit of entertainment). I just ask for these two hours of the day! Furthermore, if I want to watch any programme, I only have to go to my bedroom and watching it lying on my bed with my laptop. However, they prefer playing video games on television while I am eating (we don't share shame school schedule) so I can't watch it getting me angry. If we do nothing to change this situation, we will have a real big problem.

In order to overcome this situation, I have thought some solutions. I live on a third floor, so I can throw the Play Station through the window. As I don't wanna pay a big amount of money for destroying it, this option probably is not the most proper one. Another way to put an end to the problem is to buy a new device in order to it hosts the video game console, but we can't afford it currently. Personally speaking, we must make a 'TV schedule' to know who takes the control of the TV each time and choose among us the best choice. I hope this schedule would be made by tomorrow, as soon as possible.

19th post #microstory

Do you like that canvas or prefer my portrait? - the painter asked.
I choose the portrait, but I want to know what happened with your hand - the child replied.
All right, I'll tell you the truth: My left hand missed its ring finger after she denied my marriage proposal, but I had to try it one more time. Now, as you can see, I have got neither an ear nor a finger.

I choose the portrait...

She was forbidden to fall in love with that mad man, but they don't know that him was only the one who could love her madly.

17th post (Lecture Task)

GOVERNMENT SURVEILLANCE
(CON)

I absolutely disagree with government surveillance. Firstly, security cameras in public spaces invade our privacy and we should not be filmed every second of the day. Then, the information that cameras supply could be dangerous if it got into criminal hands. Finally, the cost of installing and maintaining them is very expensive. Whereas security cameras help us to fight crime, there are some drawbacks to having them all around us.

GUN OWNERSHIP
(CON)

Little kids could get guns more easily and weapons are not a toy for them. They are very dangerous and its use involve violence. Guns increase violence and violence is not the proper solution to solve problems. Besides, not everybody have the enough responsibility to be the owner of a gun.

GLOBALIZATION
(PRO)

Each person from Earth should be able to be, visit and enjoy every part of the planet. Cultural societies try to know more about the others in order to share customs and preferences due to the presence of a worldwide market. This process helps to increase the demand of products, which makes factories and trademarks develop their production, in a last effort to put an end to the financial crisis.

CHANGING YOUR NAME
(PRO)

From my point of view, changing your name should be a Human Right since you have to have the possibility to decide about all of yourself, what means can change your own name. Sometimes your name is 'too funny' and you are tired about it (your friends remember this issue every day). Furthermore, you can invent a cooler or eccentric name: that name which you have been dreamt about all your days and nights.

16th post (Lecture Task)

Using 'The POINT-BY-POINT Method':

I currently live in Murcia with two guys who are eighteen years old too and they have just moved here like me. We have been living in Murcia for two months, and our lifestyle is quite different in contrast to our former lifestyle. Whereas I am getting used to living here very well, I cannot say the same about my two flatmates:

Alfonso is studying 'ADE degree' at UCAM and he has his lectures on mornings, so he has to wake up early every day in order to take the tram. Antonio is studying Economy degree in Espinardo and his lectures are on afternoons. I have known Alfonso since 2012, when we started to do bachelor in the same high school whereas Antonio has been my schoolmate since we started 'primary school' because he is from my little village. Alfonso is not a very outgoing person, sometimes he is a little bit bashful, so meeting people is not easy for him. That's why he has never had a girlfriend and he usually prefers to stay at home than go out with ours. Meanwhile, Antonio is a real party-goer, he loves staying with his friends and with his girlfriend. He is joyful, but a little lazy. He often spends his time playing video games or watching movies and hardly ever help us to carry out the household tasks such as do the ironing, sweep the floor or do the washing-up. However, Alfonso is an hard-working person, caring, he always does his homework and support to do the household chores.

Each person is a different world and the same happens with my flatmates. On this subject, I would like to quote a sentence that I personally like: 'Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else'

15th post (Lecture Task)

Using 'The BLOCK Method':

As I have commented before in previous posts, I currently live in Murcia. Alfonso and Antonio are my new flatmates, two guys who are eighteen years old too and they have just moved here like me. We have been living in Murcia for two months, and our lifestyle is rather different in contrast to our former lifestyle. Whereas I am getting used to living here very well, I cannot say the same about my partners:

Alfonso is studying 'ADE degree' at UCAM University and he has his lectures on mornings, so he has to get up early every day in order to catch the tram well in advance. I have known him since 2012, when we started to do bachelor in the same high school, since he is not from my village. Alfonso is not a very outgoing person, sometimes he is a little bit bashful, so meeting new people is not easy for him, but there is not doubt that he is a nice dude. That's why he has never had girlfriend and he usually prefers to stay at home than go out with ours. However, Alfonso is an hard-working person, caring, he always does his homework and help us to do the household chores. Besides, he goes to the gym. Hence, Alfonso never wastes his time.

On the other hand, Antonio is studying Economy degree in Espinardo and his lectures are on afternoons. We share a common schedule, but he does not like wake up too early, so he often gets up even at noon. Lazy. He has always been my schoolmate since we started 'primary school' together, in the same class because he is from my little village. He is a real party-goer, he loves staying with friends and with his girlfriend. He is joyful, but a little lazy. He often spends his time playing video games or watching movies and hardly ever help us to carry out the household tasks such as do the ironing, sweep the floor or wash the dishes.

Each person is a different world, with particular attitudes and thoughts, and the same happens with my flatmates. On this subject, I would like to quote a sentence that I personally like: 'Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else'

14th post #microstory

Please, dear reader, imagine this situation:
Two cheap and uncomfortable armchairs which are in a large lounge in front of the fireside. Well, it was a cold night and the company really didn`t help me. There were me, alone, one more time, with the another armchair where she used to sit down. To make matters worse, I was listening to some little kids singing Christmas carols from the street. They were happy times, but not for me. My stupid homesick couldn't let me live pleasantly, but I was already get used to it. Finally, I fell asleep until next morning, I think. The fireside has gone out but it was impossible to put out the blaze of my heart.

13th post (Lecture Task)

Like the vast majority people from my country, my favourite sport is football, so I usually play football with my friends in my village. Even when I was a kid, I was the goalkeeper of my local team. What a team! :) However, I’m writing this post while I’m watching a NBA match (Charlotte Hornets vs NY Knicks) on TV because I prefer to watch basketball matches than football matches. The same happens with another sports, not just occurs with basketball, different sports such as American football, boxing or wrestling. Maybe I mainly prefer to watch these kinds of sports because they are broadcasted and commented by great and funny –or crazy- commentators or radio speakers who make the spectacle joyful and exciting.

As opposed to Homer J. Simpson opinion, 'it is better to watch stuff than to do stuff', doing physical activities is good for your health, to keep fit and avoid overweight. There is no doubt playing sports can potentially benefit your health making us stronger and helping us to stay in shape. Besides, it is a good way to reduce stress or depression whereas you are improving your body and your mind at the same time.

12th post (Lecture Task)

I really don't know what is my fave place to stay in, but I have some ideas. I have visited a couple of beauty cities such as Barcelona, Amsterdam, Prague or Berlin, but anyone is so charmed like my little village. There there are my family, my friends, and it's the place where I spent my childhood. I grew up there, with my achievements and my defeats. Nowadays, I'm studying in Murcia so I had to move here. Living in Murcia is a different concept of life, with advantages and drawback, but this is another story. La Copa is a little village, which is 3 kilometres from Bullas, and is located in the northwest of Región de Murcia. This site is sourrended by mountains and fields, and no far away there is a natural lake where I am going with my friends to swim in the summer, go fishing and enjoy ourselves. I have enclosed below two pics: The first one was taken on a cloudy day from 'La Silla', which is the nearest mountain of La Copa, and the second one shows the lake that I have mentioned before.

I would like to travel around the world, and I know that there are more beutiful and interesting villages, mountains, lakes, customs or what you wanna to explore and enjoy... but home is where the heart is, and my heart is in La Copa.

Nonetheless, sometimes...

;)
